The Elements of Art

The elements of Art (also the elements of Design) are what the designer considers when creating an art work. They are the main components or building blocks of art and Graphic Design.

An designer’s visual style is mainly determined by how they use the art elements, what they concentrate on and how they organize the elements according to the design principles. The elements are line, shape, direction, colour, texture, tone and size.
